The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"Professor Neely will win your heart with cute and professional art style, Maniac Mansion nostalgia and its fun take on Egore - the deformed henchman. It also offers good playing length and many solid brain-teasers. However, the feeble amount of custom interaction responses from Neely, combined with generally personality-lacking main protagonist and main antagonist, make this a game many players will enjoy for a while, but few will feel compelled to finish."

An absolutely terrific game in true DoTT style!

Game looks good overall, but the major thing done wrong in this game is UI interactions like look, use, take etc. I don't think different colored and same-shaped cursors are enough to distinguish the interaction type. I'm more like of a right-clicking action cycling guy instead of clicking action type from bottom gui, which makes this game painful for me. I'd like to see different cursor shapes for different actions.

I'd have liked to be longer.

Fun, and very DOTT like game with great backgrounds and good puzzles.

Could really use a few more interaction responses though.

Very nice game. The graphics are beautiful, there are lots of animations and the music is well chosen. The game has a strong DOTT feeling with lots of rooms to explore. Most puzzles are very good. My only complain is that there could have been more interactions (i.e. look responses)

Awesome graphics and great cartoony music. A clear tribute to the Day of the Tentacle. The writing is a bit weak: often I didn't know what to do next, but overall a good game that you don't want to miss.
