The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

NEW server... May 2011 You hear of a competition to win $100,000. To win it you have to mug, steal and pilfer anything you can. You play Fanito, a young hoodlum, running with the likes of Balinzo, a rough, tough mobster. He has you at 2-1 in the competition! The hoodlum with the biggest amount at the end of the competition wins the $100,000 prize! The rules of the competition state: * You can only visit each place of your home town once, so comb it well. * Once you visit the Fence you can not add to your booty and you will be judged on what you have obtained throughout the game at that time. Here you will win or lose the competition! Robbing a Fishmonger, mugging a woman, breaking into a car and nicking a boat are just some things you do to win the competition! You have a counter to let you know how much money ($) you have collected as you go along. The Game is controlled by mouse only! The places you can visit are at the top of the screen (5 in all which include going to the Fence). This game can be completed within the hour...if you know what you are doing. Good luck and good mugging ;) PLEASE PM if any bugs found.. cheers

AGS Panel Review

"A cheeky concept that shows promise, but parts of the execution left to be desired. Puzzles are linear, graphics are made up of different visual styles some of which are quite jarring. Majority of art is not original. Game-play and solutions are predictable and over easy. The story is fun though the dialogue writing is pretty iffy. With more polish and non-linearity, this game could definitely gain a higher cup rating."

2 people commented on this game (newest first):

A fairly fun 40 minutes or so with a few annoying dialogue issues that may upset those less patient than me, but certainly worth a try.

I quite enjoyed this game, and feel the 1 cup rating is a little harsh.

Grab crowbars/mallets, threaten poor civilians, and steal as much money as you can in a couple of hours. Will you steal enough?

A lot of the puzzles are quite straight-forward though, but I still thought the game was fun.
