The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Shortly after your adventure with the mystery in Montana, you are given a case involving mysterious deaths in Landsdowne, Massachusetts. The bodies of two men in their early twenties have been found recently, and according to local authorities both dead men looked to be in their seventies when their bodies were found. There is no explanation as both men were thought to be healthy, and in the prime of their lives. Add to this the odd reports of a pack of strange animals roaming the town at night, and you have your work cut out for you.

Is there some sort of vampire creature on the loose as some of the town rumors suggest? What is behind the rumors of odd goat-like creatures that have been seen after nightfall? Are the two related? You are thrown into the midst of an age long battle between good and evil as you investigate the case of the Life Drinker of Landsdowne.

After 2 previous games i expected more from this game. First half of the game is interesting and well written. But after that there's too much fantasy in my opinion. Anyway the game is quite good and I recommend it.

The game was really well written, and the story was very deep and complex. The animation was a bit choppy at times and some stuff didn't mesh well for me graphically, but overall it was a very nice and polished game.

I really liked this game. The story was really good and it maker put lots of time into it with exactness.

This game was really amazing. Some of the dialog driven puzzles were a bit long-winded at times, but the atomosphere, pacing and writing were excellent. I recommend this to everyone looking for a great game to play.

I've been looking forward to this game as I already liked the first two episodes a lot. And I wasn't disappointed: each episode is exponentially better than the one before! I thoroughly enjoyed this excellent game. It's a great story that develops in a well paced, intruiging and atmospheric flow. Thank you for this gem of a game!

A really good game, really enjoyable and well made. Only the end when it turned into some arcade style fighting game put me off and I didn't finish it. Arcade and adventure games don't mix in my opinion.

I just finished this game and I really loved it. The art and music were good, but the story and writing were really amazing. Good job, and I will be playing the first 2 games now.
