The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"Very interesting short sci-fi game concept with attractive presentation and strong atmosphere. 2 major puzzles can easily lead to frustration, but to be fair they work well within the storyline and the game offers alternative, non-optimal ways of solving them."

Gave up on the second puzzle; delay between screens is not needed.

Most of the cutscenes are black screens with "walking in the snow" noise. Sometimes with dialogs.

Definitely one of the best short-form games I've come across. Primarily due to the careful linking of gameplay and story.

Great atmosphere, interesting story and nice puzzles except one (door). You must play this game!

Pressed enter during typing and I don't know how to edit a post.

As I was saying, the moons would never be visible like that from the actual pit, considering their positions in the sky.

I replayed this game twice, to get the optimal ending, and I have to say that really, for a game that's intended to be replayed, it's too slow. Even with the ESC key and rapid tapping to skip dialogue. Loads of stuff is unskippable, and there aren't really that much things you can do different. Furthermore, after going through it twice more, I'd really hoped to be rewarded somehow for the optimal ending =(

All that said, it was still an excellent game, atmosphere-wise. I loved the drawing style, and I loved what happened to Jacobs at the end, even though it was predictable.

The atmosphere in this game was very well-done.

However, each of the puzzles was somewhat flawed. I only really liked the part where you have interact with the alien standing over Jacobs. The door puzzel, as you've probably heard often, is fairly non-sensical. The linking to objects in the room is pretty arbitrary and the associated lights displays are very misleading.

The puzzel with the holes... For me it w

Great experience, first adventure on my memory to seriously open theme of contact with nonhumanoids. Add speach, music, some screen transition animations and you can sell it via steam.

Interesting game. The first person approach is well pulled off, and makes the game different from most AGS games. Nice, engaging story, though the pace is a bit off for my taste.

There's a lot of replayability in the story, but somehow I wasn't too motivated to play the game a second time.
