The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

New upload

* Please note that a GUI shown in image has been revised.

A Whodunit mystery starring super sleuth Detective Harry Faversham who has a nose for smelling clues!

The year is 1910. The place, London.

Lord Harrington has been murdered by a machete through his skull!

You set out to Harrington Manor to find the murderer!

There are 6 possible suspects. Who would want him dead? Who has the motive, means and the opportunity?

* Why has the snooker room door key gone missing?
* Why was there a power cut?
* Did someone steal the machete used for the brutal killing?
* Was Lord Harrington a philanderer?

Seek out clues, be observant, listen to suspects bickering and ask questions to determine who murdered Lord Harrington. Was more than one person involved?

Use your deductive talent to decide those responsible.

As David Frost would say: "Remember, the clues are there".

When you are ready you have the opportunity to arrest your suspect(s) for murder.

Take your suspected murderer(s) to court and hope to get a conviction.

Includes a Memory system (Click memory Word in list and talk to suspect).

Theater style production.

Special thanks to the testers of this game who patiently corrected my grammar.

2 people commented on this game (newest first):

A nice idea for a game, and I enjoyed playing it, despite not benig able to find the culprit. Some feedback from the jury would have been useful.

I found the gameplay a bit underdeveloped, not only because the game is strictly linear.

The graphics could have been nicer, but in general they were passable and didn't bother during gameplay.

For future games working in a team with different strengths can give better results.

Nice old-school mystery- fun to play a game that doesn't rely on goofy inventory puzzles (although I do love those) but instead relies on using deductive reasoning and forming your own theory about "Whodunnit."
