About this game
In a near future, in a unnamed city of the western world, you play Susan Gant, young and curious newspaper reporter. After a slow start, she will begin to unravel a plot with several "factions" involved on a search for a power that may totally change society. Note1: the game is still available at my site so get it here: http://www.freewebs.com/ratracer/The Uncertainty Machine.zip or here: http://www.reloaded.org/redirect.php?GID=203 Note2: I wonder if there is still anyone playing my only game; if there is and wants to drop me a line, you're more than welcome: send an email to gatogorka at gmail.com (don´t forget to change the " at " by @) thanks, all!AGS Awards Nominations

I was looking for an AGS game that would match the gameplay and story of other past favorites and well: I got lucky and found one in this game.
The game provides fun puzzles, characters that you can care about, and an ever-escalating plot that takes you from a mundane existance on and on to potentially becoming...
OOPS!!! Almost got into spoiler territory there...
AWESOME GAME!!! Get it or regret it!
That's the new hub of the Underdogs. Fringer had a lot of trouble, but it looks like she's made a great comeback.
While the graphics was quite well drawn i found the enviroments lifeless and the animations to be almost nonexistent. Dialouge was also pretty boring and colourless. Puzzles were a mixed bag. Some of them i liked but other were quite obscure and seemed to be throw into the game just for the sake of having puzzles.
overall, not a bad game but not that great either.
The graphics sometimes look strange and lifeless (a strange mix of raytraced rooms/objects and traditonal 2D-backgrounds) and the music got on my nerves after a while.
But the excellent story and puzzles make it one of the best AGS-games!
Two thumbs up!
i can't think of anything else to say, but WOW!
meticulously done, i can't flaw it!
a) interesting characters
b) great story
c) great graphics
The only "bad" thing about this game is that it makes you feel jealous and humble. ;-)
Or maybe making such a game is just a goal to aspire. ;-)
