The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"A great idea and a unique setting. Though this promising MAGS game is far from finished, it's still worth your time."

3 people commented on this game (newest first):

The universe this small comp entry relies on is really intriguing - biomaterial, autocratic rulers, bizarre science. Yet we only get a glimpse to see of this world, invented by the mastermind of infamous Babar.

The soundtrack is probably the strongest element: Ibispi composed with great talent a hauntingly beautiful retro sountrack, reminiscient of the great classic 'Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis'. I downloaded the songs additionally too.

Also his animated designs for the character sprites are both well readable and strangely futuristic looking.
Just the backgrounds could deserve a bit more refining. Yet their bold, simple shapes have some abstract graphical appeal to it.

The writing is up to the point and clearly understandable.

Really short, but rewarding game. 8/10 points

I think this had the best setting of any of this month's MAGS games. There was clearly a lot of world-building that went on and a mad flurry of effort to get finished by the end of the competition. It felt short, but not overly rushed. Great work.

The idea behind this game seems like it could be interesting, but it all ends before the story really gets going. The fact that it was only made in a few hours does show, but there is still some potential there.
