The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

In Sammy's Quest, your character is a little boy named Sammy. Sammy's parents have gone away to California to look for gold, and Sammy's been left in the house with his butler, Mr. Donatello. The object of the game is basically to help Mr. Donatello out with chores around the house. Your first mission is to get Mr. Donatello out of the closet! He's been locked in there and he really has to pee.

I really enjoyed the game and loved the humor in it. I liked the old style graphics too- they brought back memories of my favorite Sierra games. It was a refreshing, lighthearted, witty game. I hope there is a sequel, and hope they make more games!

Only one suggestion- it's always nice to be able to adjust the game/character speed. I usually turn the speed up full blast because get a little impatient when the character takes awhile to move from point A to B.

The graphics are the greatest, but it is the game that is enjoyable. Especially how it is set in the 1800s and in Sammy's Quest, we see a Refrigator, a Disco Ball, Fluorescent Lighting, A Jukebok and a Garage Door. And don't get me started about the Butcher, Baker, Blacksmith and Grocer (how can one person be in the same place at the same time?) Maybe we can see a sequel to this.

Cannot play your game. My computer freezes everytime, right at the beginning, just on the first credit.
