The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

A sequel to the Laura Bow series from Sierra.

This is my first AGS game. It's really short, but I did put a lot of work into the interface to try to emulate the notebook from The Dagger of Amon Ra. I also tried out using an overhead view, which is something I hadn't seen before in an AGS game.

Since I have played the original Laura Bow games this did effect my enjoyment of it but I think I would probably still be disappointed. I'm sorry but I just couldn't get over the choices that were made here and wish this had gone in a completely different direction or at least not an "overhead" view. I'm used to playing first person or other style games. Not something like this. ( however isometric games like fallout 1 and 2 are popular and I've sometimes played such a unique design choice for games...I've got ) I applaud you for wanting to have a different kind of game for people to play and I'm sorry for not being able to enjoy your work. I do intend on playing it someday soon , regardless. It's been years since I've played lots of games and this is one I only played once before.

I never played any of the original Laura Bow games but it didn't effect my enjoyment of this mini-murder mystery. Set entirely on a bus and observed from an overhead point of view, this fun little game casts you as Laura Bow, a reporter who is trying to solve a murder. It's all over very quickly and its not very difficult but there's some nice ideas and basic but enjoyable characters. I had fun for the 5 minutes or so the game lasted. I'd like to see more of these made.

Hi there! Really like this game so far! Interesting interface! But I seem to be stuck after I've taken the golden earing from Greta's purse! What should I do with it? How should I look in the old lady's bag?
Liked the Agatha Christie atmosphere!
