The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

The chronicles of the shoe are three games that tell the tale of an epic quest undertaken by 3 people that is all to return a shoe to it's owner. In part 1 you play as Jirb, a strange man obsessed with cerial. This Demo includes the intro and chapter 1, "the Slip".

NOTE: This is now version 1.3. Additions include: -Bug fixes in almost every room, and various changes in events, speech and gameplay. -The correct starting room. -Game now goes slightly into chapter 2, at which point it's advisable to stop playing, as it is probably quite buggy and unfinished (I haven't got around to properly testing it). -Scaling changed to continuous in various rooms. -rough patches tidied up -Increased the walk speed of the main character.

5 people commented on this game (newest first):

the whole thing is now fairly bug free as far as I can tell, if anyone has problems post in the games in production thread.

wow... I can't believe how crappy some of this game was (and how broken the demo was) (wrong starting room).

I may end up bothering to update it at some point, and I've (somewhat) restarted production, if anyone's interested.
