The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

A demo for the upcoming futuristic mystery, Alpha - X. Includes:

--First person perspective
--Demonstration of art, music, sound FX and GUI
--Usable Alpha - X network terminal. Go to the operations center and use the terminal to learn more about Neo York, or type in the name of one of the characters you meet to learn more about them.
--A demonstration of your DRIFTER's deep scan function. Select the red crosshairs from your GUI and scan away.
--A demonstration of the game's shooting scenes employing the shooting gallery in the operations center. Go there and use the shooting gallery on the back wall. When you are finished, your DRIFTER will assess your performance.

Controls: Right click to switch between movement, interaction (which also doubles as talking and taking), and investigation. Once you get your DRIFTER, click on his image in the bottom right corner for more options. In the shooting gallery, SPACE BAR arms and holsters your gun, and left click fires.

Great demo, looks like it's gonna be a great game! Although third-person adventures are more my thing. Still great!
