The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"Same problems as before: Badly implemented design choices, and a confusing, lacklustre story. Graphics slightly better this time, but still ugly. Technical aspects sorely lacking."

3 people commented on this game (newest first):

I think perhaps the fault lies in that the creator is doing the wrong job. If the comments/ dialog are uninspired he should team up with a good writer. For example, I know I'm a good artist but not a good writer, so I'd find someone to help me who's better at that and only focus on the visuals.

Not much to manipulate nor look at. The comments/dialog are uninspired (e.g., "A light.", "Grass.", "A dresser.") Gameplay seems to be linear: there is no returning to other rooms to explore further. I got frustrated by the bug (program hangs) that happens every time I got killed by the skeletons, so decided it's really not worth going on. There are much more entertaining ways to waste your time.

I tried to play it, but before I got out of the ballroom I had been cut off due to scripting errors. The graphics are great, but the voice volume in the ballroom was so low I couldn't hear the story. Like I said, the graphics are good, from what I saw it could be a good game, it just needs a little work.
