there's a second candle next to the bookcase. once squire has fiddled with both, have knight talk to him. (remember squire won't initiate conversation with him becuase he has to "speak when spoken to".

AND the candles, when you figure them out, will open the trapdoor.

There is a thrid book. You need to guess the order, I think. Just use them all once.

You don't need to guess.

The guards are the clues, blue, green and yellow.

The green guard says, he is the first cohort, so pull the green book first.
The yellow guard says he is the second cohort, so pull the yellow book second
The blue guard is asleep, so ... last .

use the sword on the chest to get the dagger - use the dagger on the window then the candelabra(rope) on the window

I've figured out how to get to the other side of the door, but it's still stuck. I can't touch the armour or wake the guard. The other guards just tell me who they are. The Knight won't leave the room through window
