Title: AGS displaying strangely on my Laptop(SOLVED)
Post by: Spike4072 on Tue 01/04/2008 23:09:53
On many of the tabs things do not line up as they should and display in the wrong spots. Here is an example shot of the preferneces window to show what I mean.

It's a resolution thing, I think. I have the same problem with a lot of programs on my 1680x1050 monitor.

Yeah, maybe mention your screen resolution so people could help you out better :) I have 1200x800 and no probs so far.

It's a result of having "large size fonts" activated, which is typical on higher resolutions. Is this AGS 3.0? I believe CJ made some changes to correct the worst cases of overlapping in the latest 3.0.1 betas.

Yes, this layout problem happens if you have Large Fonts (or any non-standard DPI setting) enabled. The latest 3.0.1 RC 2 build does improve some of these, but it's still not perfect and something that I need to improve further.

Hmm I am running at 1920x1200 but it says I am using normal font size. Oh well I can deal with it until the next version is done. Thanks for the help. :)

*edit* oops I had looked in the wrong place. Yes I did have it set to large fonts in the advanced tab. Turned it down and everything looks fine now. :)
