Title: BUG: Sound Stuttering in DX9 Mode
Post by: xenogia on Tue 12/05/2009 07:18:24
I find that when I play my game in DX9 mode the audio stutters when changing rooms, but when in DX5 mode it is fine.  Is this bug fixable?

Can you post your system's spec? I think this can be related to graphic card driver/DirectX settings.

Ahh this is was on my work pc, its an amd x2 5600+ with a integrated nvidia 7300gs card.  The audio is integrated, if i was at that pc I would tell you.  Should I maybe play with the sound acceleration in the directx settings.

Interesting, DX9 mode has an extra step where it uploads the room background into video memory, this is probably what is causing the problem. I'll see if I can improve this for the next version of AGS.

What resolution is your game by the way?
