suggestion/bug? tile sprite import

okey doke so i've been plopping around in ags for a few years now and finally decided to learn how to use tiled sprite import

i find it very confusing and i'm never quite sure what is going on so i tried to set up a system and so far it works, except...

when i set up a sprite sheet i usually set it up so the top left image is the first image in the animation moving to the right and then down again like this:



so if i try to import it with tile import it imports fine but it chooses the top image then the one below that then the next one then the one below that and so on

so either i'm suggesting that ags tile import chooses the order to import better, or i'm bringing up a bug

but i'm mostly suggesting a reworking of the tile import cause it's a tad bit confusing

or am i just doing it all wrong?

Yeah it's not a bug, the tiled import does it a column at a time from top to bottom.

I see what you're asking though, it would be more logical to work left-right a row at a time, so I'll look into it.

I've never been able to get the hang of the tile import function (I guess I is a little stuupid)

Would you consider adding an "Import Folder" option or would that be particulary difficult to implement?

Actually something like that has been on my to-do list for a while - I can see that it would be useful, I've just never really had the motivation to bother adding it to be honest.
