Hey guys, I'm really in a jam here.  I'm trying to open my game in the editor, and I get a message with the following error code:
(Exception 0x000000 at EIP=0x000000, AGSEDIT v2.70.601, SIP=26)
I have no idea what's going on, this hasn't happened before.  I really appreciate your help.  I need to finish my game for a school project tomorrow, and I have to do this project to graduate.
Thanks,
Nick Danger

Did you get any problems when you last saved the game?

Try the following:
rename ac2game.dta to old_ac2game.dta
rename editor.dat to old_editor.dat
rename backup_ac2game.dta to ac2game.dta
rename backup_editor.dat to editor.dat

and see if that helps.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, I don't know why any of this happened though.

Edit:

Okay, so I did what you suggested, and that sort-of solved the problem I was having.  By which I mean one problem went away and another took its place.

Now when I load the editor, and I select "Load a recently edited game" and try to load my game, I get the following dialog box:
"LoadScriptMOdules: invalid version" and yes, the "O" is capitalized, that's not a type-o.
I really don't know what's going on, I didn't have a problem yesterday.
Any suggestions for that?

Edit 2:

Btw, I made it with and am trying to open it with AGS v2.72, it worked just fine yesterday ???

But the error message
(Exception 0x000000 at EIP=0x000000, AGSEDIT v2.70.601, SIP=26)
suggests that you're using an older version of the editor to open it.

Are you really sure you're running AGS v2.72? Maybe your desktop link points to an older version by accident.
Check the version number by going to the menu Help -> About.

My bad, it's 2.70.  But either way, I made it with this version, I believe.  I don't understand how it could work without a hitch yesterday and crap out on me today.

Then, try backing up the game first and open it with V2.71 or V2.72.
