Over the past few months, I've been collecting every GUI people have made available. Now, with AGS 2.55 beta, I made them into templates. Since I distribute them with the original .txt files and due credit, and they were for anyone to use anyway, I doubt the makers will think ill of me.
But -
How do I upload them?
As you must have guessed, I can't roam the net very confortably. And I'll have the very same problem when I finish the game I'm working on.
Help me, please?
I'd say, sign on to www.freewebs.com and set up and account. Then soon you'll be able to upload files and you can start helping the community that way. :D
Thanks a lot! I'll soon be ready, at www.freewebs.com/skimbleshanks/!
Very embarassing, indeed. I'm having trouble with uploading.
Every time I try to upload something, it just stays at 0kb sent, and eventually brings up a "Page Not Found" error.
Is this normal? Am I missing something?
email them to me, tom.d.simpson@btinternet.com i'll upload them
The problem might have been the file extension you were trying to upload. It wont allow all....
And I think we may have fallen into the gen gen forum, the way we've moved topic.
You're right, Scummbuddy, I'm sorry.
Anyway, this s now obsolete - I found a way to make it work! Visit me at www.freewebs.com/skimbleshanks/ to get the templates!
sadly, the host is really slow for me, so im offering again to upload them once ive dled them from your site :)
Fine by me. And, by the way, thank you VERY much for your help.
Same goes to you, scummbuddy.

hey cust? Maybe you should give some credit to the guy on the page? ;)
coool templates
Updated with Jannars suggestion
Link to ags site incase someone finds the site by accident
What about the original creators? Shouldn't they be listed as well?
Oh, and if any one has Space Quest 4 (or was it 5), can they upload the english sprites? :)
meh, i might do that
Just one suggestion... On any click on hotspot, rather than coding it, they can use conditional-If mouse cursor mode is. This is for the MI1 GUI, still testing the others.
Joey
I have a suggestion as well - I don't know about you, but I'd rather have the verb coin "timer" check if the mouse button is held for 5 cycles, instead of 20.
At least the MI 1 gui needs to edited to take off the text over button. such as "new button" or "talk to" cause it overwrites the button text.
