I am trying to play maniac mansion, and after I am on for awhile I get an illegal exception that says

That says to contact CJ at the tech forum
Please help, I am new to this
I have downloaded the newest version of direct x and have also tried to mess with the sound. ???

are you playing version 1.1 or the older one?

Im not really sure, i just downloaded it from lucasfans. It is mmd12

Can you try running Setup and disabling soudn and music, and see if the problem still occurs?
