cannot start ags properly

Hi, I just downloaded the ags when I heard of it at the very first time, but the program cannot start properly, it will stop at the splash window, and there's a hidden window called scan behind it, I can't click on it in order to close it, and the splash window just hang on there all the time, I searched through the faq and knowledge base, found nothing. any helps?

Could it be that the window called scan is part of your antivirus or anti-spyware program? If the program doesn't let AGS start until it has scanned the .exe file, and for some reason fails to do so, that would explain the hang. Try turning off whatever anti-virus and -spyware programs you have running (but disconnect your internet connection first!) and see if AGS runs then.

Try pressing the Alt+Tab keys to switch to the second window. If it's still hidden, press Enter or Alt+F4 after having activated it.
