I was making walking animations for a character, and while the sideways walking was OK, the up and down walking didn't look right. It occurred to me that if the character walked a bit slower when going up and down, it would look alright. So I'm suggesting there be an option for characters to walk at two different speeds; one for walking sideways, and another one for walking up and down.
If you play the original Monkey Island, notice Guybrush walks faster sideways than up and down.
