I was looking these functions up to help somebody on the Beginner's Forum (here (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=24004.msg297988#msg297988)) and I noticed that the manual says that the value for the maximum number of allowable topics can be found in the Room Editor. Clearly that's not right...it's the Dialogs pane of the Game Editor...however you want to word that...
The AGS Editor used to be called the "Room Editor" ... however we've been phasing out that terminology because it's confusing.
So thanks for bringing this up, I'll go through the manual and remove any other references to the Room Editor where it's not actually room-specific settings.
I knew that AGS used to be called RoomEdit a long time ago, so I figured it was probably just a...uh...there's a word for it...uh...just something that used to be right but has been outdated and needs to be changed...
Anacronism
No, an anacronism would be something that does not belong in the timeframe used because it is in the future (like the watch on Charlton Eston's wrist on Ben Hur).
Artefact is a term I've heard used in these situations, or relic. Or maybe you should just say "forgetfullness". ;D
An ancient relic from the past...
The artifact of the tomb shall be used... in some way... and RoomEdit will rise again, stomping the nonbelivers of the blasphemous AGS Editor!!!
FEAR!!!
...I am SO making that game.
