Quote from: Monsieur OUXXThis is where I should post my original "Cruise for a Corpse" box, complete with its detective diary and unfolding ship map, if I weren't so lazy.
Don't worry. It'll be here eventually. :)

EXHIBIT #12: INDIANA JONES AND THE FATE OF ATLANTIS (1992)

Front and back cover:

What's inside the box: it's a talkie version so not much this time, one CD, manual and a some additional paperwork

Strange... I don't remember bumper cars. In any of three branching paths. Anyone?

Did you know?
- The original script for the game was written by Hal Barwood who also wrote movie scripts for The Sugarland Express and Close Encounters of the Third Kind
- For a short period, lead artist Bill Eaken worked at Sierra On-Line, and he hated every second of it. When he did the evil ghost animation at the end of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, where it swirls around and comes right up to the player and speaks, he made it say "Fuck Sierra."

Babar

I have that!
Although I lost the CD sleeve a while back, and just keep it in the LucasArts Archive box. Mine had a hintbook as well...

Success! I have returned from the deepest darkest corner of my parent's attic and found..

EXHIBIT #13: HARE RAISING HAVOC

Gribbler

Holy crap! I haven't even seen original box of this game! Like ever! I played this a lot in Amiga days... Excellent find and a superb addition to the museum. :)

...another museum piece, based on the Agatha Christie novella with the same, written in 1931.
EXHIBIT #14: THE SCOOP [(1989]

Gribbler

Nice one, Arj0n! What pristine condition. How on earth did you get it?

Gribbler

EXHIBIT #15: GOLD RUSH! (1989)

Front and back cover:

What's inside the box: five 5.25" and two 3.5" disks, manual, California Gold book, map, hint book and a leaflet.

Whoa! The map is really big.

Adventure Window a.k.a. Red Glass returns!

Book about gold diggers of the old days. Very interesting read to put you right in the mood to search for GOLD!

Did you know?
- Sierra named their EGA games "A 3D Animated Adventure Game" because of the... Walk Behind option? Yep, if a character can walk behind an object, a boulder for example, it's 3D! He actually moves his legs while doing it? It's animated! Ah, the simplicity of the 80s. :)

Gribbler, I'm very impressed (and a bit turned on) by your amazing, mint-condition game collection. You also appear to have superior photo taking abilities. Bravo, sir!

Meanwhile, entombed in a large dusty plastic storage container in my parents attic, I found this oddity..

EXHIBIT #16: TOONSTRUCK

Gribbler

I'm very happy to see Toonstruck here. I don't have it in my collection. :) What else have you got in that treasure chest of yours?

Today died the second of my favourite painters, H.R. Giger. Now all of them are dead. :-[ The first one was Zbigniew BeksiŠ„ski who, like Giger, also died tragically (he was murdered). To honor Giger, next museum piece is a game in which his works were used to create various otherworldy locations and monsters.

Rest in peace Hans, you will be remembered forever.

EXHIBIT #17: DARK SEED (1992)

Front and back cover:

What's inside: As you can see above the game is new and still in shrinkwrap. Who knows what's inside? I do not dare open it. I can hear growling inside! 8-0

To substitute the lack of contents here's a bunch of screenshots from this wonderful game:

Front and back cover:

What's inside the box: six 3.5" disks, manual, The Adventurer magazine and a bunch of leaflets.

The Adventurer has many cool articles about LucasArts games and their creators but the best thing is official Sam & Max boardgame!

Ha indeed, but I do know I really like them (nod)

Gribbler

My copy of Camelot is missing the map. But some day, somewhere, I will find it.

You hear me, map? I WILL find you!
