Title: AGS in wikipedia
Post by: Anarcho on Tue 04/01/2005 21:25:06
I was browsing through wikipedia and stumbled upon a great write up of Monkey Island, and that led me to a thorough article on Adventure games, and then I even found an article on AGS.  Who wrote the article?  It must have been one of us.  It's flagged for some editing, and could probably use it...

go AGS!

I think I remember someone posting about this quite a while ago. I think I'll take a stab at editing it, if no one else minds.

You could always post your edit in this topic here first, to see if anyone has any additions or remarks.

I added some stuff to Wikipeida on AGS, but it has been subsequently edited and improved (I didn't put any links in). And Jimmy.... its a Wiki... if anyopen has additions or remarks they can do them directly in the Wiki!

I did a big overhaul of the Space Quest section about a month back, if any one cares :P

I was going to post a picture of each SQ, but couldn't be bothered

I think I got a little carried away.

If you saw it before, it was maybe two paragraphs.

Now, It's got about five different sections, not to mention subsections and links and references and a picture.

I make my brain hurt.

Edit: Oh yeah, and if someone could fix up the section about MAGS games, that would be appreciated. I really haven't played many so I didn't know which to put up as examples.

I think the essential MAGS game to play is Spellbound.

If you think something's missing, add it! That's the point of having a Wiki.

You think someone takes his own game a bit too seriously?

I'm really curious who wrote the one about Chris Jones, and if (s)he actully has that impression of the community.

The same person who added the enormous article about Brad bradson, so my guess is on the author of that game.

Just because you don't participate in our weekly cult-like worship sessions, don't mean they don't happen.
