Does any one mind if I gloat? all ok? well I'm gloating any way. why you might ask, well I was looking around one of my neighbourhoodÃ, thrift stores. ( got a lot of those were I live) and was supposed to be looking for shoes and a tie for my moms wedding ( for me) when I decided to look at the second hand software and what did I find?Ã, a copy of kings quest 6 AND 7. good haul, good haul I thought THEN I found space quest 4! So I would just like to say it has made for a VERY successful weeks pillage! and it cost me a grand total of 6 Dollars, and thats canadian! so, sitting back, I gloat! ;D
I had a similar-but-less-good triumph last summer while visiting my parents. I bought the Quest for Glory anthology from their local dry cleaners.
I still don't know why they were selling it in a dry cleaners.
You could have gotten them for free :)
<g,d,rlh>
I hope you wern't taken to the cleaners ;D
(fyi, it means, did you spend a lot of money when you didn't need to)
sorry its a pun :P
(edit)

Who would even consider illegally downloading material when the alternative is endlessly trailing around charity shops and, in my case, dry cleaners?
Also, I endorse your pun-explaining-policy lo-res-man.
WELLL... it means, what the phrase means, (explained above) but it is a pun because you got the games at the dry cleaners so its a pun on the phrase combined with were you got the games. so its like saying "Hope it didn't cost too much" but in a pun-ishing kind of way ( PUN ALERT! PUN ALERT!) :P
I wish I had not came across a copy of gabriel knight 3, as I got bored of it a few or more hours in.
And I STILL haven't played my copy of simon 2! I must find time!

So in other words you don't have Internet.
what I mean is I don't have download-ible internet, I use internet at school and the library, but I can't at home.

You need to get yourself a removable usb drive. :) Those are old enough now that you might be able to find one at the local thrift. I used to use the local university's high speed for downloads all the time. Just waltz in pretending to be a student and voilia!
Myself I've found The Secret of Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, Loom, and The Legend of Robin Hood all at the local thrift. In the box and in great condition. I also got a tuxedo for my brothers wedding for only $9.50 I love thrift stores. :)
I think Ill try that USB drive someday soon, Great idea! :D
and... Heres to thriftstores! 8)
I found the floppy disk version of DOTT at one of my many local charity shops. £2. All floppy disks and the manual. God I love that game. ;D
