I should definatly be at Brittens now, just gotta work out my journey. The last time I did the trip it took me about 12 hours... I plan to do it in a third of the time this time around. The tent I have claims to be a two-man tent but it's rather too, er, cozy for two non-lovers to share - sorry!

I'd better make sure I have all the bits and pieces to it and didn't leave anything important im Cornwall now I come to think about it. I hate tents and I hate camping but it looks like I'm going to do it twice this year!

I'll make sure I'll bring the areobee too (like a regular Frizbee but goes further and is easier to get stuck up a tree), and maybe a trailer or some stuff on the game we're working on.

Cool cool DS; I'll try not to smack AGA in the face with the frisbee this time, but I can't promise anything.  :P

So can I just confirm who's needing a lift from Stansted -- is it strazer, Haddas and Ishmael? Do you guys know for sure what time your flights get in?

Flight FR2195 from Tampere to London should be arriving at stanstedt 23:30 on the 1st of July

My plane back goes the 8th. What will become of me?

Ishmael

Excotic time of arrival for us :P

...what, the flight back takes five hours? :o Or is it not FR2194? Or did I get something wrong again? ¬¬
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

You mean that wasn't the aim of the game?

How about dodging dog turds while playing a game of football - I say playing a game, but of course mean "Watching 2ma2 and the Euro-AGSers hand the UK team a good spanking".

Davy, I think there is a poundshop, so I'll check it out at the weekend.

I am not going close to a moving football, those things are dangerous! :=

OK, I went to Alton Towers Theme Park today and got some vouchers we can use at thorpe park.

I got 7 £8 off vouchers and 2 £5 off vouchers. I'm gonna use an £8 off voucher myself so that leaves 6 to share between everyone else.

Not sure how to do this but probably do it based on picking names out of a hat or something or whoever needs it the most. We'll decide some time when we are there if we still decide to do it.

EDIT: If anyone can bring a guitar that would be great, I'm off to go try to buy a tent today, if not then I'll be bringing my old tent that is know to leak in heavy rain, but fine against the smaller rain drops.

I also have one chair for myself which I kept from reading festival. Might look for another, more comfortable one, and of course as usual I'll have my cool-box for someone to sit on :P

Reminds me of a family guy epsiode: "So what's heavean like" - "There's a shortage of chairs"
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

I haven't booked the flight yet. I can be there at 10:00 or 22:00.
At what time does the meeting begin officially? What time would be more convenient for you?
I'd rather be there at 10:00 and take the bus and maybe go sightseeing first rather than arriving late at night.

I imagine Brittens will start at about midday/early afternoon as people arrive, which is why it is a bit of a shame if people's flights don't get in until late at night, because you effectively miss the first day.

Haddas, is there no morning flight that you can catch?

magintz

PP - Yea I watched that episode the other day and just laughed, no matter how many times I see it, it's still so funny.

Arriving at the campsite anytime after mid-day, Friday, is best. I hope to be there from about mid-day.

I'll put up signs if necessary, but anyone who decides to get a bus directly to LALEHAM from STAINES can use this simple yet effective map to find the campsite. :P

No other Ryanair flights for that day...

Haddas

Yeah. Sadly. All flights in june-July seem to be landing after 11pm

Ishmael

There'd be a flight the same time on the day before, but I cannot fly then, the only option for me is the Friday night....

Didn't we have good weather when some of us went up to London - I remember buying Ice Cream in Hyde Park with Pessi, Magintz, Chris, Scummbuddy?

That was me, not Scummbuddy. :P

I suffer as I can not go, but sadly I won't be free of the army until 8th of July... the Brittens event for this year is looking awesome though, I hope you all will have loads of fun there.

Thanks Petteri :) Well, make sure you speak to Helm about a place at Mittens in Greece. I hope it does turn out to be possible for you :D That will be middle of August...

Right.
I've told my dad that I going, and asked to borrow stuff.  I'm on for one tent, either two or three man (i forget which, but it's purple and green) and when he's got used to the idea, I'll work on getting the second of the pair.
I've have one chair, I'll see what I can do for rustling up some more.  I'm not making any promises on this front, tho.

magintz

I may be able to rustle up 2 extra chairs, and by the looks of things I might possibly be able to borrow my brothers tent which is like 4 people with a huge roof and like 2 rooms. It's reasonably big, but It's more tall than anythig else.

Will report back when my brother remains consciousness from getting drunk.
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

Ishmael

Great... My mother is being over-caring again... so just to make sure...

Will there be someone to meet us at the airport when we arrive, and will we be escorted back there when we are leaving? She's even more afraid than me that I'll get lost somewhere along the way...
