Title: Duty and Beyond
Post by: jane on Tue 25/07/2006 17:44:19
May I firstly make an apology for any comment that I made in game reviews for Duty and Beyond that has offended the games authors.

I have been accused of writing lies in my comments.  I am rather upset by these remarks as I made my comments on how I perceived the game which I understood is the nature of the reviews.

I had no intention of writing lies.........I got to the part where I had to put the 4 stones in the socket near end of game and had missed one (blue) and was unable to complete game and had to restart it which ws very frustrating - the stone never did appear in my inventory later in the game. I was writing a user comment that affected my game - maybe worded it slightly wrongly but didn't want others game to be spoilt like mine was. I never said in comments that you would die only that if you miss something you can't go back for it.

Also if you want to complete all parts of the game with maximum points you need items that don't reappear later in inventory another example is the fish to put in water at end.............the comment I made about saving often I still feel is valid.

I hope my comments hasn't put anyone off from playing the game as it certainly is a terrific game ;D

jane: You don't need to all the stones to finish the game, I only finished with 2 stones!

Jane, don't worry about it.

By reading the review page, Mordalles doesn't seem too broken up about it and he made the game. If he's not freaking out on you than all is ok.

I was the one who PMed jane. I had a big  ;D sign next to the word 'lies', I wasn't angry or mad or anything just told you that the game hasn't dead-ends. I also said you don't need the gems the complete the game, they are sidequests . I didn't seriously accuse you of lying,  please don't get offended over something like this. I'm sorry if you did.

I am surprised you would start a thread over something like this. You are taking this way out of proportion. I was merely informing you about the game.  ::) And I am not the creator.

I didn't see any reason for Jane to be PM'ed over her comment, or to apologize for it.

I didn't tell her to apologise. I just informed her about the game and what she thought was neccessary to do, wasn't. I was PMing her in friendliness with smileys attached.

:o You can't go writing lies like that under Duty and Beyond   ;D You don't need to save, the items you miss appear in your inventory in the nex part, you just lose points. There is only one place you can die, that place with the snake and the thing that crushes, BUT the game autosaves right before it.  :)

This was my PM to her (got from my outbox), go mad, call me names and outcast me  ;) If she saw that in the wrong light, I apologise. I didn't mean it in that way.

Too late. We already know about the huge amount of child pornography you've implemented into the source code.

'Cuff him, boys.

kelticpete, please do not post in threads that are years old.
Also, there is a forum called 'Hints and Tips' for any help you need solving puzzles for games.

There's another important rule that a lot of posters seem to ignore, Trent, and it even appears before every post you make:

3. If you're not a moderator, don't pretend to be one. If a thread needs to be moved or locked, the moderators will deal with it.

No need to be harsh on him progz. We've all pretended to be moderators. At least all of us, who weren't.

My bad. It's a natural thing for me, so I'll try to tone it down.... :(

You'd better if you want to avoid getting a temp ban, sonny boy.
Consider this your official warning.

Don't worry. Instead of posting like don't dig up old threads, just mock the poor guy..or better redirect the guy to where he should post but without sounding like a moderator.

Yeah, if you're not a moderator you're only allowed to mock the guy. Make fun of him for being a neb -- Create a YTMND about him and redirect him to penis enlargement sites, the usual you know.

It's how we do things at adventuregamestudio.co.uk ;)
