Who are your favorite AGS characters??? I really liked Emily Enough, I thought she had a lot of pyscho charm. I also enjoy playing as Ben Jordan, he is unique and I love that he is a Pink Floyd fan!

Thewalrus

Goo, goo, ga, joob!!!!!

YAY! Another favoritism thread! Again we can piss some people off while sucking up to others.

My favorite AGS characters in order:

1. Knight from Knightsquire (this guy is brilliant in design)
2. Mortia from Spooks
3. The team from Da New Guys

m0ds

Rodney Kill makes me laugh out loud & is probably my favourite :)

lo_res_man

Fatman,
Larry Vales,
Earwig
These are some of my faves.
Fatman for his parody
Larry Vales for making me laugh, even though I didn't want too
Earwig, for being weird
†Å"There is much pleasure to be gained from useless knowledge.†
The Restroom Wall

fentongames

Pib from Apprentice and Brain from Da New Guys are my favourites.
Time Kid, coming this summer.

Shane 'ProgZmax' Stevens

The bum from RoN because he can be anyone.

ManicMatt

The squire in knightsquire and the prequel. I feel for the little brave hero!

The Inquisitive Stranger

Richard Longhurst, of course! Definitely the best dresser in any AGS game I've played.

And, just to make it my RL&BAT favouritism less blatantly obvious, Alexander Zale.
Actually, I HAVE worked on a couple of finished games. They just weren't made in AGS.

Gilbert

Ace in Ace Quest (not Ace Dunwell).

Play Ace Quest!11111!

Candle

Fatman, has to be Fatman for me.

Nostradamus

I'm sure this thread has been before (check popular threads?) but for what it's worth I'll say Larry Vales, Rob Blanc, Ben Jordan, Trilby, Max Griff, Death, Michael Gower & Hooky McPegleg.

Anarcho

My personal favorite is that rockabillly kid from 5 Days a Stranger.  You know the one?  The teenager?

I'm not sure why though.

Ubel

My very favourite character is Roger. But after that here are some of my other favourites in no particular order:
  • The driver man from "Are We There Yet?"
  • The chicken from "Chicken vs Road"
  • Aazor from "Aazor: The Life of a Demon"
  • Short from "ShortCUT"
  • Bert from "Bert - The Newsreader"
  • Dr. Really Really Evil Ed from "Permanent Daylight"
  • Earwig and his imaginative demon friend from "Earwig is ANGRY!"

i k a r i

My favourite character is Cedric, you gotta love him.
QuoteWell, one think is not liking him, and the other is making humour of the retarder people!
Nacho speaking of Bush.

Ionias

Mine have to be:

1. Rob Blanc - First AGS game I ever played.
2. Larry Vales - Second AGS game I ever played.
3. Rodekill - Third AGS game I ever played.

Strange, I see a pattern.

Toefur

voh

Ben Jordan, Cedric and definitely Captain Bloodhook Flamebeard ^_^
Still here.

FSi++

So mine's favourite are:
5. Chicken with gun from RON (2 1/2 and others)
4. ROGER (From Lassi Quest, at least)
3. Captain Mostly from Nihilysm (Arrr Arrrrrrr Arr!)
2. That little demon from Earwig is ANGRY. He's cool.
1. Richard Longhurst with no doubt. He really is well-dressest, but also a think-weirdest, green-skinnest and definitely most beardest and flowers-paintedest adventure game hero!

Dan_N

Right, before the top, walrus, you seem to be starting an awful lot of threads, now three are aligned next to each other... even I don't do that... whatever, on with the top, none the less:
1. Trilby. Come on, cat burglar, paranormal investigator, cool hearted and calculated, my kind of guy.
2. Davy Jones, the original Davy Jones, the Lunchtime of the Damned Davy Jones, not some other cheap sprite rip-off. He just reminds me so much of Yahtzee, I just can't not put him up here. Besides, although I despise magic and everything attached, whether fact or fiction, he's damn good at it. Besides, he's practically my age and I definetly would hang out with the guy.
3. Fatman. Hehe... he's fat... and he fights crime... and he's a parody of Batman (my childhood hero)... You just can't look at the guy with a straight face!

Buckethead

I truely enjoy BJ in his adventures from 1 til 4. But in the 5th and the delux of case one Ben has a face I don't really like anymore.

Hahaha!!

I've come to like Ben Jordan the AGS character, and have no quarrel with his 320x200 face.

Anyone care to add their favourite AGS character?

As the last post was 3 years ago, I'd like to add Nelly.
And also those pesky characters & voice actors from the Crackwell Legacy!
And Little Girl & the underland characters... they were all exciting oddballz! :)

Dualnames

Prick Peckard! Nothing more.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Ghost

I always had a soft spot for the Quest for YROLG imp. Apprentice's Pip is another favourite, and Alexander from Cirque de Zale steals the cake.

Calin Leafshade

The tall man from trilbys notes.. dunno why.. i just like his design

My horror game, Self

Igor Hardy

In no particular order:

Nelly Cootalot
Rabbi Stone
Ben & Dan
Anna (the AI)
Donald Duck
Rosangela Blackwell
Joe Gould
The Gnome (from Winter Rose)
main hero's S&M girlfriend from ASF (Gorth, was it? Or maybe Garth)

Crimson Wizard

#32
I can think of three at the moment:

Tall Man from Trilby series;
Nelly Cootalot and her Trillby, the most natural cat-burglar :D;

EDIT: Oh yes, and
Magic Smiling Cat from the Underland ;)

Radiant

Hm...

that creepy white-eyes guy from 1213...

Wow! So much Barn Runner love. Now I feel even worse (worser?)  for not having chapter three of The Forever Friday finished yet. (Only seven months behind schedule, but who's counting). If I can ever stop working sixty (or more!) hour work weeks, then perhaps I'll be able to get back on track.

There will be demo of the game available on my website on October 1st. Hope that will tide you guys over until the game is finished.

As for my vote: Old school: Larry Vales. New School: Annie Android.

Mr Flibble

Nelly Cootalot, without a doubt.
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

I'm counting.. look at me, I promise a game and it's out on schedule..eh..nevermind.
That will do!!

Also seconding: Annie Android (always thinking a parody where instead of mailbot she gets a crush on Marvin, so the game would be named Annie Android: Automated Depression)

I'm also going for Mortia from Spooks, a game that had a lot of effect in my life..(seriously)
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)
