Oh my, it's finally here! After being pressured by Edmundo for a year and a half, I've finally gotten around to uploading the Mittens 2004 GTD, one of many held that glorious week.
Only this one was recorded, but if you'd like to see more of the Mitteneers in action, check out the previously released videos at: http://lucasstyle.com/videos.htm#mitvid
This discussion is about the final puzzle and outro cinematic for adventure games and how important they are for the audience to feel a sense of completion, replayability, and just overall love for your game. Many mitteneers went home crying, for they had yet to finish The Dig, but alas, has given up hope now.
Beware, though. Many, many game endings are revealed in a short amount of time, with little warning, so be sure you don't care about any adventure game ending that came out before that Mittens. We disclose ALL.

It's just shy of 10 minutes long, and we'll see how much of my bandwidth this hogs up.
Although godaddy.com just increased my bandwidth from 25 GB to 250 GB for free, I'll check in on how its being used, because I've had to pay for going over, way too many times. Hopefully, I won't have to delay the next one until next month, but hey, have fun and enjoy the show. If the bandwidth doesn't become an issue, maybe I'll raise the quality next time.
Mittens 2004 Video GTD (Part 1) : 10.7 MB Zip (http://www.lucasstyle.com/mitvid/GTD1.zip)
(I'd love to have given you all the 50 MB version, but I have no idea where to get hosting that can afford the many AGSers who will get this video.)
I knew that my constant nagging would pay off. :=
Yeah uh, if you haven't finished The Dig, Grim Fandango, Monkey Island 1 and 2, and perhaps Full Throttle, don't download this!
Nice :D, wish I could have gone...
You know 250gb is a lot of bandwidth, we have 500 (or 1000 perhaps) and 11 of us have never hit 100gb together.Ã, Every member of the forum would have to get that file 6 times to get near using the bandwidth up. Mirror on the 500gb server if it helps though (http://caverider.com/mirror/GTD1.zip) or right to the wmv file (http://caverider.com/mirror/GTD1.wmv).
My knowledge of game endings scares me. But seeing this video does bring back some nice memories.
Scummbuddy, play these games, so I don't feel so bad about ruining them all for you! ;)
Grundislav, you are like Dennis Miller... stealing every scene. :P
What a pleasure to watch.
Scummy you must post the rest.
Scotch, yeah, I originally was reading 250GB as 250 MB, so thats why I had the aprehension of the file sizes, but after doing my own math, I can afford like 4000 downloads of a 50 MB file... so yeah, I won't be cheapening the video quality from now on.
Hehe, that certainly brings back memories ... nice one uploading it after all this time :)
