Post by: limeTree on Thu 01/01/2009 15:27:11
I once played this series of games,a long time ago,thy must be famous,i wouldnt know.
I can't remember the title,i would like to download it again.
Its about this guy and his girlfriend. The first game is that he is
supposed to save her from a halloween horror house or something, the next one when they
try to discover about the murder of her uncle and the third is in the jungle.
Anyone knows what i'm talking about?

When I first joined this forum there was an AGS remake floating about, but I understand the original creator (David P. Gray) asked for it to be taken down. Apparently the originals are still selling, though he commended the remake for improving on the original's graphics.

I remember all three hugo adventures fondly, and the demo of Nitemare 3D, the first person shooter spin off.

Are you serious? How can the originals still be selling? Are they compatible with Windows XP/Vista?

I remember owning both Who Dunnit? And Nitemare 3D, although I much preferred the first three games for their traditional adventure interfaces over first person shooter, but Nitemare 3D was still fun. I wish there was an updated version of Hugo. I wouldn't mind playing it.

Yes, they are (http://www.dgray.com/hwpage.htm).

For Windows compatibility problems, well, as you can see, there are Windows versions.

Hugo's is a classic series. I think that they may have been my first AG's ever.

Yeah. Seriously though, how !@$% random was that puzzle where you had to make an effigy of the witchdoctor in Hugo 3?
