Title: Ragnar Tørnquist & Dreamfall
Post by: ThreeOhFour on Thu 01/11/2012 14:46:15
Dreamfall fans: Yes, it's been a long time since any word has been mentioned about Dreamfall since The Secret World, but with this (https://t.co/lAHceiJp) tweet from Ragnar Tørnquist comes this (http://updates.kotaku.com/post/34758374456/dreamfall-chapters-is-real-actually-happening-ragnar) article.

The followup is in the works.

How pleasing! :D

I will HAPPILY contribute to a Kickstarter if they go with that. Better than just not having the game.

Dreamfall definitely wasn't all bad, but somehow most of what I remember is tedious puzzles and story is really hazy.
I want to see how it ends though, the cliffhanger really wasn't fair.

As long as they don't us that torturous interface again.

It seems you were right about that. They said they'll need some money later on in the process, but so far they got a grant for the government.

Dreamfall was awesome and you guys sucks for even hinting otherwise. That is my thesis.

This.

Also, I don't remember Dreamfall to have any puzzles at all - it's mostly running and sneaking from one cutscene to another in my memories. :D

Anyway, great news! Ragnar is one of the best writers in the industry, so to have him back working on a story-driven single player game is wonderful. The Secret World has a lot of great writing and neat ideas, sure, but it's still way too MMORPGy for my taste. More TLJ, though - that I would definitely enjoy. :)
