First, this is not a chatroom, so don't expect people to answer you immediately. Often times you'll need to wait for hours or even days to have your thread answered. So, be patient.

Second, this is not the section for this. Please read the rules before posting. Thank you.

You should have explosions... lots of explosions.

I don't even know what this thread is about!
I am Jean-Pierre.

It needs to have a percentile based task resolution system, point based magic, and instead of armor adding to your AC, it needs to reduce damage recieved. Of course, we could go the whole hog and have a resistance table too, and then there's the matter of Attack test followed by Parry by the target. All in all, I think you should use the BRP system as a base and work from there.

But to be honest, I have no idea what this game is about. We're not psychic, you know.

I could've been Psychic but settled for the Ghost type. More effective against them pesky Dark/Steel combinations.

Fireball: Rune Quest sounds like some sort of fantasy setting, and you don't want it to look nerdy. That's almost a contradiction. And what is a "nerdy" look? Barbarians with glasses? But they're already called Librarians.
So tell us: Do you want to go high resolution, low res? Can you draw and animate at all, or do you need someone to do that for you? Do you have a story? If so, share it! Otherwise it's pretty hard for us to suggest anything... all we can guess is that someone will be on a quest that involves runes. And that it rocks, obviously.

Is that already enough for 15 points? In that case I rename the Eiffel Tower Arcee. Arcee rocks, too.

Are you trying to think of genres or ideas?

If you wanted to create a new RPG (which I guess that's what you're after from the title (you might have some issues with Jagex and their product Runescape)), then I'd steer away from the MMORPGs.

(a) It's impossible (don't quote me) to make them with AGS.
(b) Successful MMORPGs take years to plan, and it's a long time before the creators even think about touching a keyboard or mouse.
(c) A huge team is needed for the development and upkeep.

Also, compared to the fantasy RPGs there aren't many contemporary ones about. It would be great if you could break the mould and create something modern, like GTA but without the violence. :) But that means changing the title of your game, so...

How many points do I get for that?

EDIT: The Ghost above beat me to it.

The game is where you start in a village and you have to get items and do quests
It's going to be a rpg but will be simple to control. 8)

I think someone else might take more pressing issues to it.

It's what I first thought when I saw this thread, anyway. I like that system.

Are you going to SHOW it to us, or do we need to come over and gather around your PC?

edit:
Listen, you need to put some more effort into this. Naming your paint program isn't enough. Are you going to use a low resolution (320x240) or high-res (640x480 or above). You can have all of that with Paint, you know.

Atelier

Fireball, that's a really good background you've done. I especially like the transparency.

Akatosh

You need to upload it first. I recommend imageshack.us.

Atelier

There's a useful thread here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=6297.0 that can give you all the details. You need to find a site to host your images, too.
