I like this thread =)
anyway if you're going to make an RPG i would recommend you "RPG Maker" this is a far more powerfull editor for your concepts. Just google it, it should be easy to find (i know there is a huge german community and doubtless although english ones)

good luck

ps: i recommend you to plan your project more detailed

Akatosh

Well, that certainly was worth the wait and the triple-posts.

Or, y'know, not. Seriously, no offense, but don't you think you might be in a little over your head?

what do you think guys???

To be honest, I think you're either clueless, or trolling. I'm out. I have a dozen names for games and will make them all now.

It's different, I wouldn't say it's abysmal. No... not abysmal...

First of all you need to think what you want before you start, and plan your game to the last detail, especially if it's a RPG. Think about the overall theme of the game first. Is it fantasy, historic, or modern?

If you don't plan then it won't turn out better than if you didn't plan. Like I said, it should be a long time before you even think about touching a computer.

QuoteLike I said, it should be a long time before you even think about touching a computer.

Like perhaps 6 or so years when you become a teenager.  ;D

Gilbert

Please don't triple post. You can just edit your own posts. :P

Nice, that's a start. I might think about dropping the suffix though, otherwise you might be in the Royal Courts of Justice charged with two counts of blatant copyright infringement. That sounds good though, if you go off and plan out how you could turn it into a game then there's a good chance it could turn into a blockbuster.

Quotedose it sound good?

Are you pedaling on the internet?
Anyway it depends on what the dose is.  We could all use some good drugs.

Like Pokeman?

Young man. There are some things you should learn before posting here. The first thing would be to use some kind of punctuation and capital letters. That would be a great start.

Secondly, you should perhaps examine the adventure game genre to find out what would work and what wouldn't. This is the ADVENTURE game studio forum.

Finally, I'd suggest you try to at least come up with an original idea.

Maybe you should make a game first to impress us. We like that. I made a game once. It was epic.

At least you seem to be able to spell. That's a good start.

Oh one last thing. Spend more than 10 minutes drawing your art. All the awesome artists take time to develop their images into awesomeness. You should too.

Ok any ideas??

also gigamon is not anything like pokemon!!!

what is a suffix? :'(

how about;
the bounty hunter
you travel around the world looking for tresures for various people for money
collecting tresures for your self as well

tresures could be

rubys
dimonds
crystal
gold
silver
emarelds

original or what?

A suffix is something you stick to the end of a word. Like -ness, or -ed, or -ly... or -mon, as the case may be.

Also, "bounty hunting" isn't too new an idea either. But looking at how it's hard to come up with original stuff anyway, I don't think anybody would mind if your game was a little bit derivative, as long as it's not too blatant (like, say, calling the hero Ashe and having him fight Team Bocket with the help of the Gigamon Peakachoo, or making a game about world-renowed archaeologist Bindiana Bones, who fights the evil Gnazis for the Kraisteel Shull. Or something).

Dualnames

Boring I'd say. No motive. Bounty hunter at least gets the money..

I always wanted to make a game about a hostage situation. Where you can play the cop or the criminals, but real-time events and many situations. As a criminal, you first decide how you would take control of the bank. Break cameras and all. And if for example cameras get a look at you, and then you break them, when the police would come they would tell you, that they've captured you from the live feed..
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Fireball16

i want to make a game a bit like runescape with out it being to easy to realise

Oh dear...

Well, that certainly would be possible to do with AGS; there is even a thread dedicated to making RPGs with AGS, although I believe none have ever been finished so far.

However, for your first game, I would recommend something really simple - you know, to get familiar with making games as such. "Escape The Room" is always good for a first attempt

Fireball16

i want to put it on a website im making so it needs to be good
