Ahahahahaaaa, it's definitely going to happen.
AhahahaaaaQUIT DRAGGING YOUR FEET OTHER OLD GAME DESIGN DUDES!! COME ON! COME ON! MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN!
Well that would be nice indeed.
First post edited, rumors were true! :D
So unbelievably excited for this! I was always sad that they never got to finish the Tex story. UAKM and The Pandora Directive were absolutely fantastic.
First Double Fine, now this? AAAAAHHHH!!
;D
As happy as I am to see them making another Tex Murphy game, I have to say I'm honestly not interested.
Good luck to them, though.
I put money down on doublefines one, but another tex murphy game - this is something i only ever dreamed about, I am absolutely pumped, I'll be putting a good amount on this!
Sorry if this is stupid, but the video said Chris Jones, is that the same? :-[
The Mean Street adventure game series were produced by Chris Jones, who also acted as Tex Murphy.
This is common knowledge for AGSers...
Spoiler
...that he is NOT our Chris Jones.
I didn't really get on with Tex Murphy. Maybe I just didn't give it a chance. I won't be backing this, unfortunately, but they seem to have enough interest, so I'm sure they won't miss my money.
It's on!

I cannot wait to play an FMV game in HD. Finally, LA Noire can get shown up for the overbudgeted pile of balls it was.
This'll be brilliant

Only 18 days left! When I get paid on Friday, I'll be putting down a hefty amount of money into this project. Don't let it die!
I'm so excited for this. I LOVE the Tex Murphy games. :cheesy:
Made my pledge, of course, cos I really want this to happen.

You know they don't actually charge you the money until the fundraising period ends, right? Whether you back it now or when you get your paycheck makes no difference.

Not much time to check the series. Just bought it on GOG, it's on 50% discount.
Somehow I've never played Tex Murphy series.

You're in for a treat!
Pandora Directive and Under A Killing Moon are the best 2. :=
For now it's Mean Streets. Argh, the action sequences! : )
Wow, I am so psyched about this! I really hope that they get funded. They got a good amount, but I have a feeling they are not gonna get all the money backed on this. I hope they do. Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum were among my favorite games of all time!
I am sure they will get funded.
The question is, how far past the goal will they get.
The average daily pledge is going up, and there is usually a huge push at the end of campaigns.
They will probably open a paypal donation too once they reach the goal.
How far past the goal they get will determine how big a game it will be.
But there will be at least 3 paths to play like pandora directive.
That by far was my favorite one.
You know, all the old games are available at Good Old Games. They are relatively cheap too. You should give them a whirl. You won't be disappointed, if you like sci-fi, action, adventure, film noire style, humour, and a post apocalyptic world.
They've beaten their target by almost £10,000... and they still have 8 days to go!!!
YIPPEEE!!!
Yey! This project's a GO! Currently at $470,905. I hope they still bring in a bunch more, so we can have a bigger and better game. I'm sure doing FMV in an adventure isn't cheap (especially if you have good actors).
