To Farlander, or whomever can readily contact LucasFan, or perhaps if even LucasFan is browsing the boards, I want LucasFan and the team to know that this one guy is selling this free product of Maniac Mansion Deluxe on eBay.

or you can find it by: Item number: 8288063934
What can be done to stop him selling it? ???
Should we all just PM him over ebay with rude words? :p
I've "asked the seller a question". I've also "reported the item". I'll report back if I here anything about the skank.
I... really don't get it.
i'm pretty sure Lucas Arts would object to it being sold too...
also, if the game contains any mp3 audio (not sure if it does as i haven't played it) then isn't that also illegal?

What you do is contact the eBay admins. They are rather strict about this sort of thing, and will likely cancel the auction and ban the auctioneer.
I still don't understand a thing of what you are talking about. Isn't this guy just selling his game?
1. See the second reply.
2. Report it as well, and give my page long argument a bit more credibilty.
vict0r:
LucasFan made the game.Ã, This eBay seller is just making money out of selling freeware games.
The seller isn't LucasFan.
EDIT:
(Imagine I tried selling one of your games on eBay, vict0r. You make it for free, and I get cash from it. Wouldn't you be a little cheesed off?).
Ah! I thought it was a lucasarts game! Sorry for my useless posting :)
It is, in a sense, a LucasArts game. That is why Boyd mentioned that "LucasArts would probably be a bit cheesed off". This is the version done by our AGS game creator LucasFan and given away for free.
Good point. Selling remakes of classic games is rather more likely to get you C&D'ed than putting out freeware remakes.
Hmmm this seller is also selling a "windows genuine advantage validation remover".
Are anyone actually contacting eBay or Lucasarts about this? Or LucasFan for that sake?
WEll luckily justice is being done as it has zero bids. Sounds like Spleen contacted eBay...
from the screenshot, it seems, that it just might be just a copy of Maniac Mansion, that the tweedle has the gaul to call Maniac Mansion DELUXE. of course, that's also wrong.
lo_res, I noticed that too.
And I also reported it to eBay, as I was making this thread.
Huh... apparently, Commander Keen runs on XP without any special settings. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Commander-Keen-1-through-6-Dreams-2000-In-1-Pack_W0QQitemZ8288551469QQcategoryZ62053QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) Oh, and isn't selling that through email illegal? It's making an unauthorised copy.

Could it be this then?

Nope, CloneKeen only runs the first three Keen games, since the others used a different engine. Still though, very illegal. If I had an account on eBay, I'd report it.
It looks like he's "selling" all his games through email. Egad...
That's pretty sad, still has no bids though, I also noticed this that they're selling
"Open A U.S Bank Account - Special for Non U.S Residents"
Seems like they're selling Spam they got in their emails
Seems like a dodgey seller, the other games are probably copies
Looks like it's been removed now, so there was some response from ebay, or the seller
