I'm here because I am in need of an artist (or artists, if more than one is available). However, before I go into that, let be explain what the game is about.

You are Lucia Wilber, a 19-year-old girl that just returned to her home in the U.S. from a one-year working vacation in Europe. Your house is in one piece, but the power is out and the cupboards are bare! What's more, your gas and water have been turned off, so a trip to the utility company is in order! However, as you will learn, your life is about to provide a lot more excitement than a mere trip to pay the bills could possibly provide!

The game is targeted at the 18+ audience, but is not a simplistic "porn game". Rating wise, it will be more akin to the Leisure Suit Larry series (except with a female main character), with some frontal nudity and adult-oriented jokes, but nothing outright pornographic. The game will not focus on these aspects, though, and instead will focus more on the perils that Lucia gets herself into during the progress of the game. I don't want to give too much away, but it does involve some life-or-death situations and some logical puzzle-solving skills. Riddles will also be included at one point in the game!

I'm almost finished fleshing out the story for a game, which is called "The Adventures of Lucia" until I can come up with a more fitting title. To demonstrate that this is more than just "hey, I have an idea for a game!", I have provided screen shots as well as a very small downloadable demo that I created over the span of one day to show that I am capable of handling the non-artistic side of making the game (i.e. everything but pretty pictures and music).

The images used in the game are screen shots taken from Second Life, modified to work as backgrounds for AGS, and crudely-ripped animated frames of my in-world avatar. However, despite the graphics in the demo and these screen shots, I want the actual product to resemble classic Sierra Point-and-click style graphics. The best way I can think to communicate my desired graphical style is to site examples, so I will.

For Sierra Games, Leisure Suit Larry 1 VGA, 4, 5, and 6 are all good examples. King's Quest 5 and 6, too.
For AGS games, Back Door Man and Ben Jordan 6 (and possibly others, too...that's the only one I played so far.)

I hope that this fulfills the "in production" requirement needed to announce the game. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone that is artistically capable, and I'm hoping that someone able to make this caliber of graphics is willing to help me in return for their name in the credits. Thank you in advance for any interest in helping me with my project.

For what you are searching for an artist? For backgrounds?

I'm working with Maya and I'm not soo bad at creating rooms or buildings.
So let me know if you want my help.
If you want you can give me a testing task and I try to do it like you want!

An artist for everything, really! As I said, I am very good with scripting (what I don't know, I can learn very fast. AGS is nearly identical to Second Life as far as its scripting engine goes), but I can't draw worth a lick.

It's important that my artist be able to duplicate the art style present in the games I mentioned, as I'm going for that sort of Sierra classic VGA feel. The graphics can still be 16-bit, it's just their look and feel that are important.

I would love to see some samples if you can provide them!

Edit by Darth - I made the images links.  Please do not post images un-related to this game in it's production thread.  This type of communication is better suited to PMs or emails.

Didn't I play a demo of this one?

Do I see new screenshots? ;-)

It's that unnamed one that you did with Adventure Maker, isn't it?
