[RELEASED] Money Cab.. Game done.. tester wanted

Hi

Thought I would do a quiz game.

Based on the TV game show Cash Cab.

It's entiltled 'Money Cab'.

Win lots of money by answering questions in the Money Cab.

You have the distance of your journey to answer questions.

Get a question wrong and you get a Strike, 3 Strikes and you get booted out and leave
with nothing!

If you get stuck you can do a Mob Shout. You can only do a Mob Shout once.

There are 3 Modes to choose from at the start.

Beware, not for the feint hearted!

Its not a long game and maybe it could be picked up and turned into a full length quiz
game sometime (Mittens?}

Hmm, quiz games, always nice! We got a show similar to cash cab here, it's not too exiting but makes a nice framework, that's for sure.
I think these games really are as good as their volume of quality questions... and if there's an easy way to add to the catalogue of questions, why not go open source with it at some point?

But: I am pretty sure Mr. Spock hasn't green skin. Blood, yes, skin no!

Apparently Spock does have greenish skin due to contents in his blood.

I've got endless questions, its just sorting out which to include.

If you're a trivia sort of person you'll do well 

Open source would be an idea if going for a big game..

WOW, Steptoe! This is a great idea for a game

We used to catch Cash Cab almost every night before supper. Haven't seen it in a while...

May I ask how many questions you have so far in the game? Also, are there AGS related questions too?

In any case, I'm looking forward to this one. Can't wait to play!

Hi Snake

The amount of questions you can have depends on how quick you can answer
questions. 

The quicker you can answer the more questions you can get, up until you reach your destination where the game ends.

AGS Questions... never thought of that..good idea...

At the moment I am working on the Background and have a few more questions to put in and a few other bits and pieces.

Hopefully, when I finish, it will encourage a much bigger game by someone..

I think he meant (and I'd be curious too) not "how many questions you are asked" but "how many total questions are in the question pool" like how many possible questions are there in the entire game?

I think this is a very interesting idea!  I used to love Cash Cab (before I canceled my cable tv).

there are 3 modes, each with sets of 3 answers per question (1 of which is right).

The grand total is ssh as this would spoil it. But obviously enough to complete a successful ride to your destination and win lots of dosh.




By the way, in the UK its on Quest between 4.30am / 6.30am.

I think people want to know if questions will be chosen randomly from a large pool of questions so you can play the game several times without repeating questions.

No..  but is something that could be included in a bigger deluxe game.

I'd probably give it a try. A pool of questions would be good for this version though. No point in playing if you can just restart everytime you muckup and go through preset questions answering them all correctly. Plus it's only going to be a little bit more code, nothing major. Anyway good luck with the game.

it sure would be a good idea to have a 'pool' as I have previously stated.

This particular game is a type of 'Demo' to an otherwise bigger game.

If you (or anyone) wanted to be in on a bigger deluxe game than PM and perhaps we could build one.
