TEAM DAVE announces

DAVE THE VAMPIRE MOOSE

A graphic adventure of monstrous hilarity!

The Story:

Dave lives a peaceful life on the yorkshire moors,
he spends his time feeding on sheep and farmers and watching slasher flicks with his best
friend in the whole world "Steve the zombie squirrrel".

Dave's world goes up in flames " literally" when steve eats to many of the local town's peoples
brains and gets Dave's house burned down.

Now Dave and Steve are designated homeless and set off on a quest to find a new home.

Be warned the game contains some strong language and violence (comedy violence but it's gory).

The full game will feature:

>5 giggle filled chapters
>Plenty of weird and wonderful enviroments
>Shed loads of surreal situations
>Full voice acting
>Tons of whacky sound effects
>Lots of gory violence and crazy mayhem!

Mooseman,

Great demo.

I did found a bug in script.

Bug comes when I pick and use look on red object

The object is found at the forest where in red eyes are watching.

Can you correct that?

mooseman

Thanks for trying the demo and letting me know, there are a few bugs when it comes to looking at items in the inventory, i have been spending too much time on the later chapter art work to address them, i will fix them and repost the demo as soon as possible.

Derwo

Nice, humorous and gory demo. Really liked it.

What bothered are Dave and Steve's voices. Maybe you should reduce the echo on Dave's voice and slow down Steve's. Besides this the voice acting is very good.

Good job so far.

Kal-El

Just played it!

Made me chuckle, especially the actual opening logo screen voice-over :D

I can see the funny side in the voice of the moose but it's sometimes a little hard to understand.

Apart from that, very playable!

Getting rid of the echo on dave's voice is something i've been meaning to get round to but means re recording his lines, which will take a little while, as for steve i'm not sure about slowing his voice down as he is meant to be erratic and squirrely, but i'll put it past the others. we'll have a new demo up shortly maybe with an echo free dave. thanks guys.

The new demo is up: http://www.savefile.com/files/7931458,
The new demo fixes the the audio files that keep cutting out (mainly steve's) which was a side affect of converting them from the original uncompressed wavs to mp3.
Some background alterations have been made and some new dialouge recorded.
And the Echo on dave's voice has been reduced (the best that can be done till all his lines are re-recorded).
Now i can concentrate on finishing chapter 2.
any feedback on the demo  would be appreciated.
;D

Hi mooseman,

Great improvements!

I am looking forward to it's game completions.

Just to improve one thing in chapter one while working in chapter 2.
1) You might want turning Moose to the right while speaking to Steve his pal and while also giving brains.

Of course, since chapter one is working very well, you have no need to re-upload changes what I'm suggesting until it's game completion.

Good luck in finishing the game.

Thanks splat44

We are working hard on it, we try hard with the gags and voice's.
Chapter 2 is just about finished and we've added some great characters including a pyshco werewolf with a really disturbing voice.
The flaws that you mention will be fixed when the game is complete.
thanks for the comments.
