Update - 28 September 2009:I've added a youtube trailer. I've finally had some time off work, so lots of progress is being made and the October release is still on track. I've had time to remix a bunch of original music for the game too, which I didn't think I'd have time for.
Update - 8 October 2009:DuzzQuest2 has been released!
firstly, game looks funny, nice graphics style!
secondly, I'm from Melbourne too! hi :)
and lastly, if its a wintermute game shouldnt it go in the Adventure-related talk and chat forum??
keep up the good work :D
It's an AGS game. I started using the name Wintermute Studios for my games back in 2002 before the Wintermute Engine was released (unfortunately).
Ooh, me, me, pick me. I wanna beta test. ;D
*hops up & down excitiedly*
*Sending PM* :D
EDIT: And PM sent. :)
Looks funny!
*signing up*
Please post two in-game screenshots (I recognize the little circles are probably images from in-game but I doubt you play the game in a little circle!) At the very least make the little circles link to actual screenshots.
Thanks.
Lovely style! Can't wait to try it out! Keep up the good work! :D
I've never seen an adventure game with photography that actually looks impressive and to my liking(other than Myst-like graphics). But this one looks very nicely done. I'm loving the large heads for the characters, gives me a chuckle.
Your GUI and Exploration Map looks to be very well done too. I believe I'll be playing this one. :P
Looking very good. I agree the photo elements work really well, and everything else Ryan said ^ . I hope it's the Noctropolis on crack I've always wanted to play... ;) Best of luck
Hey guys, I've uploaded a youtube trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds42iNVYeOU). Check it out!
I've finally had some time off work, so lots of progress is being made and the October release is still on track. I've had time to remix a bunch of original music for the game too, which I didn't think I'd have time for.
Oh my god, after ages of waiting.
Duzz, I will love you forever when you release this.
Edit: Any chance of some voice acting? Duzz Quest had some really fun voice acting, and some killer music.
I'd like to get voice acting too, but I don't want to promise anything. There's a few people in the game I haven't seen for a couple of years, and three characters who have moved overseas. I guess that's what happens when you take 5 years or whatever to make a game :P
So I'm going to release it without speech first, and maybe do a deluxe version later. That way at least it'll be out there.
Looking good, Duzz. There's a strange appeal to the big head/little body characters and it looks like a lot of fun!
I loved Grrr and this looks awesome too, i really like your youtube trailer and the title screen.
Cool to see a game set in Australia and I love the style.
Ah, I remember the first DuzzQuest.... awesomely weird (even the strange little football mini-game! :o)
