It sounds interesting, but for some reason I can't see the pics at all... If I can later I'll just edit the post, but for now...

tiagocorreia

The game is almost complete. Only some animations and objects to make the environment more rich are missing.

The game is only in portuguese (voice and text). Is anyone interested in beta testing the game?

If so, please let me know, so I can upload it and make it available.

vict0r

Wow! Graphics and story sounds great! But is there a reason that the pic of the girl is pasted all over the island?

Tuomas

Pssibly to indicate the scaling and the depth. I love how it looks very hypnotic and would eagerly play it, were it not only in Portugese. And sorry to tell you, but what I know of, there aren't that many Portugese memmbers in this community anymore.

By hypnotic I mean that some of the trees and details are very sharp whereas some are quite blurred, as in tree trunks - leaves, or rocks - grass. I like the feeling of it, though the sky doesn't look quite as stormy as the sea. Cool ship inall.

Please let us know if this ever comes out in English.

.Sklate.

Oh my, the background scenes look awesome! :=

tiagocorreia

I think it goind to be an english version and later an spanish and maybe an arabic version.

But this will depend on funding of International Amnistia. They are co-authors in this game.

It looks really nice, a very promising game. I'd love to play an English version if one is produced. If you need me to find some translators who would be willing to work on an English translation, get in touch and I'll see what I can do.

SupSuper

I'd love to beta-test the game, or even translate it to English if you need help. :)
Programmer looking for work

Hey everyone!

I'm saying you hi because I have just registered and this is my first post.

Parabens, Tiago! Seu jogo parece ser muito legal, e eu espero poder-lo jogar logo, viu?

I just congratulated Tiago for the game he's making with his company, telling him that it seems to be a very good game and that I hope to play it soon.

Like many of you out there, I grew up playing adventure games (mainly from Sierra and LucasGames). Well, actually I was a teenager when I started with them, because I'm a little oldie now (I didn't play them as a 8 or 10 years old kid, as some of you probably did). I'm a Chilean professional journalist, so my mother language is Spanish, but I learned English playing adventure games.

Although I'm no programmer or computer scientist, I'm quite interested in adventure games and some months ago I began to study the AGI engine. My goal is to learn AGI, SCI and then AGS, because I'd like to make, or contribute to make, those kind of games I enjoyed--and still enjoy--so much. I think it's wonderful that so many fans are engaged in creating quality, free games, continuing old sagas, creating new ones and keeping the adventure genre alive, thus proving the main industries wrong in their belief that adventure gaming is dead.

I don't want to bore you much, so I'll get to the point: I understand Spanish, English and a little Portuguese, too, because my girlfriend is Brazilian, so I'm learning. Therefore, I think I could help you out if you wanted "Island of the Magic Seaweeds" translated into Spanish. I'm positive that I could translate it from English to Spanish, but I also believe I could give it a shot from Portuguese to Spanish or English (I understand written Portuguese better). I've done--and still do--English to Spanish translations professionally and I'd be honored to have the chance to help here. "Island of the Magic Seaweeds" reminds me a little of "Pepper's adventures in time", a lesser known Sierra point and click adventure game for kids, which was a fun and cute game.

My message applies for everyone else as well: if you wanted your adventure game, commercial or non commercial, translated into Spanish,  please don't hesitate to contact me, because I would be thrilled to participate in such a endeavor.

Warmest regards for everyone and keep up the awesome work!

There is a beta version, that currently it is free. So everyone can test it. It has several bugs already detected, but since it's free it is going to remain like this for now.

We hope to have a comercial version an the end of this month.

So you can download it. See link on top

It is in portuguese, but I guess you can test it. Even if you don't speak or read portguese, you might give it a go, just to check the graphics and sounds.

We are now making a 3D movie to the intro.

azzola

wow! I love the game style!

I try to download the beta version, but the link don't work...

can you help me? I alredy try with Explorer and Firefox, but... nothing.

tiagocorreia

New beta version available

m0ds

Commercial? Fair enough. I enjoyed what I saw, even though it's not in English. Good luck :)

tiagocorreia

Yeap, this is our first trial to build a game. Lets see how it works out.
The most difficult part are the animations and graphics which are very difficult to make.

Maybe in a next game, we will use animations made in 3DStudio Max, not quite sure of this yeat.

Your art desginer has been working on this for several months, more then 8 hours a day, so we did spend lot's of time doing graphics. We also have actors for the voices.

We made this game with International Amnisty from Portugal.

m0ds

Sounds like a lot of hard work, and it's looking really good so far.

It might be nice to credit AGS and/or Chris in your game though.
