Ok, I checked this. I'm actually pleased with the services so far.

Three or four weeks. Overall is quite nice, but sometimes there are problems (link not working etc.).

But then again, it's still alpha (and direct linking is awesome)

Game Jolt just decided to open up hosting for everyone.

We're specialized to host freeware games, so signing up and placing your game on the site supports the community and helps everyone's games gets noticed.

Note that you can also post incomplete/work-in-progresses and release news, screenshots and files as they come, so if your game isn't even completed yet, you're still welcome to throw it up on the site.

I've set up uploading again on my site, although a slightly different approach

You can access the download section and upload a download to the "unmoderated files section".

This will then be virus scanned and moved to the appropriate category.
