Title: ACDOS Screen Resolution
Post by: on Mon 29/11/2004 03:56:10
I downloaded KQVGA from AGDI, installed a CSWDPMI, and am trying to use ACDOS with KQVGA.EXE.  I keep getting an error that the screen resolution (320x200, 16-bit, or 640x400m 16-bit) is not supported.  This happens with the other AGS games as well.  Is there a way to configure an AGS game to have a resolution that will be compatible with DOS?  I believe this is all that stands in the way between playing AGS games in DOS for me.

It depends on whether your graphics card is copatible with VESA modes in DOS modes.
Most cards supports VESA and work under pure DOS.
If you try to run it under a windows DOS prompt, however, it may not work, as VESA functionality is in general not supplied by the command prompts of windows.
