Cannot move cursor in games

No one else seems to have this problem.  I can't play most AGS games because right at the startup screen, nothing happens when I try to move the cursor.  Sometimes there won't even be a cursor on screen.  However, a game like Permanent Daylight works fine on my computer (still using Win 95).  Am I missing a file or is it another problem?

Hmmm are you playing DOS compiled games or WIN compiled games?

Errrrr...not sure.  But I've tried opening the games under both Win and Dos and the same thing happens.

whether or not you get a dos or windows game is in the menu, under game.  which one is checked?  produce windows exe or prodcue dos exe?

I checked, they are all Windows games.
