Hi, I'm new to AGS and I'm busy playing with it at the moment. One thing I've noticed is that it doesn't seem possible to edit walkareas or hotspots... you can only add to them or delete them -- not take away!

Is this right or have I missed something?

Also, a ZOOM function would be extremely useful for Walk Behind editing... to make sure you get every nook and cranny :)

Amazing software BTW!

Thanks for any help!

Hello and welcome to the forums :)

I'm not sure about you first question though. You are provided with various tools such as line, flood, freehand draw and a wipe-out tool. Using them you should be able to edit areas quite easy. Could you be more specific?

As for walkbehinds, I agree it would be handy but the main reason it hasn't been implemented is that you can always draw walkbehinds with your favorite paint program and then import it into the AGS editor.

You can do that using color 0, simply draw over the areas with it.

That's cool, although it would be nice to have a zoom option all the same.

As for my first comment: You can add to an existing walkarea, you can delete an existing walkarea but you cannot use an "eraser" type brush to refine it... as far as I can tell, anyway. So that mean you've got to get it right or start from scratch and create the walkarea again.

Is this correct?

Edit: Thanks Strazer! You've answered my question!

I use the windows zoom tool when making my walkbehinds. it works perfectly for what you want. you should be able to find it under accesibility applications.

- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

You can "erase" an area by changing the color / spot # to 0, which is black / nothing, and then using one of the tools on your existing area.
