Hi, i'm looking for a font that supports letters such as "é", "è", "ô", "à ", etc...
I searched the forums but i only found a spanish font, which doesn't have all the letters i need. So i'm looking for a real french font.
If it doesn't exist, then are there any programs that would allow me to make my own fonts?
Thanks for your contribution.
SCI Studio at www.bripro.com will lead you to a font creation program. I did it, it took me a week on and off, but it was worth it. If no one has one, and you do make one, please post it, or send it to someone like me to host and post it.
Good luck.
Hi, i tried SCI. Obviously there's no way to link my own created characters to an ascii code. (for example: link my custom "é" character to the ascii code for "é")
Apparently this program is only used to edit fonts that have already been created.
Anyway, all the french-translated lucas&sierra games used french font. Is there any way to rip them? (i suppose there's not cause i would have found 'em somewhere)
well, whatever... thanks anyway for your answer.
You have to replace any "normal" characters that you don't use with your accented characters: e.g.
contrôlé becomes contr)l# and you repalce the ")" and "#" chars int he SCI font with the appropriuate accents.
Thanks for the tip. I already had this idea but i found it way too complicated. But it seems to be the only way to do it, so i'll do it that way.
Thanks for your answers, i'll let you know if i ever find a real french font.
yeah, sorry, i didnt specify that. i got rid of characters i knew i wasnt going to use and made them the ones i needed.
Proskrito and I have two Spanish alphabets (two fonts, I mean).
That might help as you would only have to create the ê and the è characters (plus the ç).
There's also a game called "mourir en mer", which might use a French font, but I haven't checked.
That's all the help I can provide.
Good to see a few frogs around here... ;)

Thank you but like i said in my first message i already have a spanish font. Thanks anyway for the information about the game, i have seen a few screenshots from it but unfortunately the texts have been typed without accents. :-\ Thanks anyway for your contribution 8)
