I have been designing a lot of different character sprites in a number of different paint programs and am still ending up with the same problem. The drawing/colouring of the sprites is fine its just when I import them into AGS the problems start.

My problem is that everytime I import the sprite it ends up with a messy/fuzzy white outline which makes it look really bad.Its getting really annoying now.

Does anyone know why it is doing this or know of anyway of stopping this?

Thanks in advanced.

2ma2 did a tutorial that handles this, or just make sure you have a hard line for your outline

yeah, I believe he mentions turning off anti-aliasing, but what you can also do, that might make the sprite look better, draw your sprite with anti aliasing on with a thin outside line, save it, open the saved anti aliased image, turn off anti aliasing, and draw a hard outer line, that way the inside would be anti aliased, but the edges would still be crisp and clear in game.

Thanks for the replies. =]

Which paint program would be the best for the job?

if you have adobe photoshop you should use that, or corel photopaint is pretty similar. I'm sure there are freeware alternatives if you look for them...
