Title: Keyboard doesnt have the screenshot button! What do I do?
Post by: Snaezycorangeio on Sat 22/10/2005 22:10:48
I was posting in "in Production" last night. I read the rules before I posted and it says you must have 2 screenshots. I posted anyway because my computer keyboard can't take screenshots. My topic was locked.
I need to post in "in production" but I can't take screenshots! What do I do?

You read the rules, realized you couldn't follow them, and posted anyway?

For future reference ... if you can't follow the rules, don't post (especially in the Games in Production board).

On Topic:

What do you mean you don't have the "screenshot button"?

Your keyboard doesn't have a "print screen" feature?

How are you creating the art for the game?  You can't paste a screencap into that application?

Isn't there a way to map the screenshot button to a different key? Check your game's global script, I'm pretty sure there's SaveScreenShot() or something like that in there in the on_key_press area.

If you're using the original game template, you can press F12 in your game to get a screenshot.

Otherwise, Shift-Printscreen (top right corner of keyboard, with scroll lock and pause/break) takes a full-screen capture and saves it to your clipboard. Then paste it into paint and save it.
