Title: Lucas comparative?
Post by: on Sat 25/06/2005 00:50:20
I'm from... er... a place that don't talk (or "talks"? :-X) english.
So.. I'm trying to be careful with my words. I have a question:

In some of the Lucasarts games (like the Monkey Island), when the mouse moves over a hostpost, show (for example): "Walk to door". I can do it with the AGS?

;) Please, if you know the answer, tell me. If not, I KILL YOU >:(. It's only a jokeÃ,  ;D (or it says "jocke"?)!

There's probably an answer to your question in the LucasArts GUI Help (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=7616.0) thread in this forum - or at least a link to somewhere the answer is explained. Failing that, do a forum search for 'statusline' or 'status line GUI'. I'd give you the code myself, butÃ,  it's already out there, explained better than I could at the moment.

(BTW, That'd be 'doesn't speak English,' and you where right first time with 'joke'.)

EDIT: Ooh, good. The BFAQ's back at it's proper home.

In the BFAQ: http://bfaq.xylot.com/#guis05

Also in the AGS manual, last time I checked (which is where I got the answer for that question from).
