When testing game, player character and another character don't appear.

When I try to run the game, the room loads but the character doesn't appear. What is this problem? I used the blank template, and I can't figure out how to import my custom character. The most that I know is how to import sprites. Is there a way to use custom graphics for characters? I think that my problem is that I have no graphic for both characters, but I am not sure.

I did read the tutorial. I got the character to appear, but now it would move with the mouse, but wouldn't move when I clicked. I'll work on it in the morning though.

Have you seen the video tutorials made by densming?

Sounds like you still need to make a walkable area. For details watch the mentioned Youtube tutorial. Densming's tutorials are a bit outdated in places, but they are still a great help getting the general image of how to make a game.
