Just curious as to what the .pal file type is? In photoshop it's a microsoft pallette file. You can import into photoshop a file with the .pal extension but the one output by AGS when exporting the pallette doesn't work. Photoshop will not import it, atleast not for me.
I think it's for Paint shop pro, at least some version of it.
I guess you'd be better off exporting the palette to .pcx or gif or whatever.
